Ortale Kelley is pleased to announce that M. Joy Baxter and Ryan Pratt have joined the firm as associates.
Ms. Baxter’s practice will focus on healthcare liability, professional liability, landlord liability, as well as general civil liability. She received her Juris Doctor from The University of Tennessee College of Law where she graduated magna cum laude and was Captain of the National Trial Team, Vice Chair of the Moot Court Board, and Vice Chair of the Health Law Society. While in school, she gained trial experience prosecuting white collar crime at the Knox County District Attorney’s Office. Ms. Baxter graduated from Lipscomb University in 2014, where she received a B.A. in Music, magna cum laude.
Mr. Pratt’s practice will focus on civil litigation, homeowner association defense, real estate law and insurance defense and coverage. Before receiving his Juris Doctor from the Nashville School of Law, where he was a recipient of the John Jay Hooker, Jr. Memorial Scholarship and the Federal Bench and Bar Scholarship he served the country as a Squadron Liaison Officer and Platoon Leader in the United States Army. Mr. Pratt graduated from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania in 2009, where he received a B.S. in Pre-Law.
