W. Carl Spining

Mr. Spining is a partner in the firm. He joined the firm in 1994. Mr. Spining attended the University of Tennessee where he received a Bachelor of Arts with a major in English Literature in 1989 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1993. Mr. Spining served on the Tennessee Law Review as a Staff Writer, publishing an article entitled "Forcing Mail Order Houses to Collect Use Taxes in the Wake of Ouill" Tenn. Law Rev. Vol 60, No. 4 (1993).

Mr. Spining also represents clients in Business Transactions, contract negotiations and Probate matters.  Mr. Spining is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Tennessee as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the Tennessee Supreme Court. Mr. Spining provides extensive trial experience in both jury and non-jury litigation involving Private and Public individuals and entities in matters concerning Civil Rights, Transportation, Tort, Governmental Liability, Premises Liability, contract disputes, construction, products liability, class actions and personal injury.
