Worker's Compensation

OKH&C has extensive experience in the worker's compensation area of practice. The majority of our practice in this area is dedicated to representing employer's through their insurance carriers or Third Party Administrator's which include CNA Insurance Company, State Farm Insurance Company, Zurich, Travelers, The Local Government Worker's Compensation Fund, Alternative Service Concepts, Liberty Mutual, Guide One Insurance, Argonaut, and Gallagher Bassett. The lawyers of OKH&C who practice in this area routinely appear before the Tennessee Supreme Court Worker's Compensation Appeals Panel. Several of our partners have appeared before the full Supreme Court in pivotal decisions shaping the law of our State to the benefit of employers. Our expertise is available not only after a claim is filed by an employee but also to the employer in a preventative capacity by working with the employer's loss control department and through providing seminars to train Human Resource professionals regarding revisions of the Worker's Compensation law and its application to help control claims costs.

In addition to representing employers, OKH&C also is retained for certain select cases on behalf of employees to secure benefits in accordance with the law.
